The Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum opened for the 2017 Season on Good Friday 14 April.

Pictured here two of the Trustees, two of the very hardworking Volunteers, and Mayor of Warwick Cllr Christine Cross.

If you have not visited the Museum since it's refurbishment in 2014 then please consider doing so.

This year sees the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of El-Alamein (24 -27 October 1942)  in which the Warwickshire  Yeomanry fought with distinction.

Also the 100th Anniversary of the 'Affair of Huj' (8 November 1917), one of the greatest exploits of the Warwickshire Yeomanry and the Queen's Own Worcestershire Hussars. The Charge at Huj  is generally considered to be the last classic unsupported Cavalry Charge (arme blanche) of the Great War.  We shall remember both of these momentus events in the Warwickshire Yeomanry Museum later this year.

On 13th March 2017 Our Principal Curator

95 year old

Bryan Johnson BEM has Passed Away

Bryan was Bryan

Quiet and reserved when he wanted to be

He was in everyway the true embodiment of a Yeoman

Service, Commitment and Dedication.

Those of us who have worked with him will have fond memories of days gone by.

Bryan will be remembered in so many different ways
but as far as the Museum volunteers are
concerned he taught us how to engage with the public.

During the early 1980's he helped others to establish
the Museum and its fitting that his image is at
the head of the Museum stairs as a constant reminder
of all that he stood for.

We now have a lift that can be accessed from

the entrance to the

Tourist Information Office and Visitors Centre.

We have received over 200 requests for information

about soldiers of the regiment.

We have a small backlog which we are working on at this

moment in time, Please be patient.
